if over 70-100 ml/hr or turns bright red or increases suddenly
what do you want in the water seal chamber?
fluctuation of fluid(stops if obstructed, if a dependent loop exists, if the suction is not working properly, or if the lung has re-expanded)
notify if continuous bubbling.. intermittent with pneumothorax
what do you do if chest tube pulled out of chest?
pinch the skin opening together, apply an occlusive sterile dressing, cover the dressing with overlapping pieces of tape and call the physician immediately
