Law of conservation of momentum
Conservation-conditions before and after an event. An amount that is conserved is the same amount after an event as it was before. Momentum is conserved when objects collide. Momentum may be transferred from one object to another, but none is lost. The momentum of an object is conserved unless acted on by an outside force. The law states that the total momentum of objects that interact does not change.
The force that one surface exerts on another when 2 surfaces rub against each other. Friction will slow down an object.
