The tree represents the power to determine what is good and evil. By eating from that tree, the First Parents sought complete moral independence from God and so rebelled against their status as a creature. Not omniscience- which is impossible for finite creatures. Not the ability to discern between actions that are good and evil- app rational creatures have this natural ability.
What are the effects of original sin?

Spiritual soul- inability to control every desire or appetite

Why does christianity teach that one's relationship with god never changes after death?
Matter is the principle of change, and once a human being permanently enters the realm of spirit after death, no further change in the status of one's relationship with God is possible
What two problems did the human race have after the Fall in terms of restoring what was lost?
The grace of necessary for an immediate, supernatural friendship between the human race and god is something only god can cause, then thus only God can restore it.
As a matter of justice, the human race is responsible for repairing the damage in this relationship. But an act of obedience of damaged human nature does not have the moral quality to offset an action of disobedience by undamaged human nature.
How did incarnation solve these two problem?
God the Son has the divine power necessary to restore lost supernatural life (grace)
God the son unites because a member of the human race by uniting with a complete human nature to fulfill the demands of justice. The human nature taken by god the son is undamaged and so is capable of performing an act of obedience to offset the disobedience of the first parents

the design of the universe is attributed to God's intellect, and God the Son is the divine person eternally generated by the divine intellect. Thus, it is fitting the divine person most closely associated with designing the universe should be responsible for repairing and remarking the design

God, is the sense of the divine person of the son, experience suffering and death through his human nature. God, in the sense of the one divine nature, remains unaffected.
