An example are species that take advantage of the pollinator system such as the Grass-Pink Orchid that has no nectar but mimics the Rose Pogonia which does have nectar. Therefore pollinators pollinate the flower but get no energy in return.
why don't ants pollinate and why should you care?
their skin is coated in antibiotics that kill pollen1 it's one of the most powerful antibiotics known to man
what are the benefits that plants derive from seed dispersers?
increase probability of germination in favorable environment
increase nutrient access after germination
how do plants target specific types of seed disperser, like birds, bats, and other mammals?
bird and mammal fruits- bright colors
mammal fruits- strong smells

ants and aphids
