Why is James living with his aunts?
His parents were eaten by an escaped hippoptoamus in about 35 seconds. (It said it in the book)
Who is in the peach with James?
Centipede, Silkworm, Spider, Ladybug, Glow-Worm, Old Green Grasshopper, and Earthworm
How does the peach grow?
Some old guy gives James "magic" crystals and he accidentally trips and drops the crystals near the Peach tree and the crystals sink into the ground, and the Old Green Grasshoppper, Centipede, Spider, Earthworm, Ladybug, Silkworm, Glow-Worm and the roots of the tree eat the crystals so the peach grows very big and the big insects tunnel their way to the pit where they will live. There is also a hole on the side to prove it.
How many legs does Centipede have?
42 but he thinks he has 100 legs.
Is Earthworm blind?
Yes. He is blind.
How do they end up in the air?
They use the Earthworm as bait to attract seagulls and James ties silk strings from Spider and Silkworm onto the 502 seagulls.
Why do they use Earthworm as the bait and not someone else?
The seagulls already spotted him thus he would be the most attractive bait.
Why do they want to fly in the air?
There are sharks in the water and the sharks are eating the peach.
Why do the cloud men throw hail at them?
Centipede insulted them.
Does the peach break the rainbow?
Yes. The seagull string even got tangled in it hence they cut the string so they would be free.
What happens to Centipede when they go to the rainbow?
One Cloud man drops paint on him so he can't move.
How does Centipede get out of the paint?
It rains so the paint melts.
How do they get to the place they stop?
They cross the ocean because the seagulls pull them.
Where do they end up?
On the needle at the top of the Empire State Building.
