Autoimmune inflammatory disease, demylination of white matter, possible cerebellar lesion** (CNS)
onset: 20-40 y.o., more common in women
Exacerbated by: heat, stress, infection
distal -> proximal
1. RRMS: acute worse -> better -> worse
2. PPMS: no plateau or remission
3. SPMS: relapse-remitting -> worse
4. PRMS: progression -> relapse
S&S: Paresthesia, pain, dizziness, vertigo, nausea, diploplia (eye patch)
Drug: Corticosteroids (-sone, prednisone)
