Keeps data when the power is turned off. Information cannot be erased or changed by the user or by the computer.
Carries out the "housekeeping" duties. Examples include formatting a disk, organizing files, and protecting data (i.e. virus protection).
Electronic instructions that tell your computer what to do.
An electronic device that accepts information and instructions from the user, process data, and displays the data.
