Control
In an experiment, the group that does not take part in the "treatment" of the experimentation process, used as a comparison group.
independent variable
The experimental factor that is being tested; the variable whose effect is being studied.
dependent variable
The outcome factor; the variable that may change because of the independent variable.

All the factors in an experiment that must remain the same
trials
Multiple sets of measurements or observations in a scientific investigation, A repeat of a test or an observation. (3 times)

Chart that one enters the data from the independent and dependent variables into during an investigation.

"descriptive data". It is based on observations other than measurements and numbers.
quantitative research
data that is analyzed and compared using numbers.
