Expression
A mathematical phrase that contains a number, a variable, or a combination of numbers and variables separated by symbols or operations.
Equation

Variable
A symbol that represents a value and whose value can change
Term
A number, a variable, or the combination of a number and one or more variables, which may form part of an expression or an equation.
Identity (infinitely many solutions)
Equation that is true for every value of he variable
No solution
An equation where there is no value of the variable which makes the equation true.
Factor
Any of the numbers or variables in mathematics that when multiplied together form a product.
Coefficient
The numerical factor when a term contains a variable. All variables have a coefficient.
Constant
A term that has no variable and whose value does not change.
Like terms
Terms with exactly the same variables and the same exponents in an expression on an equation.
Solution
All values of the variable that makes the equation true.
