Tongue, hands and feet are enlarged, mask like swollen face, puffy eyelids, ↓T, ↓P, ↓R, cold intolerance
Neuro: Irritability, as condition progresses patient can become subdued, apathetic, has slower mental process, slow speech.
Cardiac: Subnormal body temperature and pulse rate. Elevated serum cholesterol, atherosclerosis, CAD and poor LVF
Respiratory: In advanced stages - Pleural effusion, pericardial effusion, respiratory muscle weakness.
GI: constipation, weight gain with/without increase in food intake
Reproductive: menorrhagia or amenorrhea, loss of libido, infertility
Integumentary: Hair loss, brittle nails, dry skin, numbness and tingling of fingers, thickening of the skin - due to accumulation mucopolysaccharides in the subcutaneous tissues.

Due to excessive adrenocortical activity or corticosteroid medications
Manifestations include hyperglycemia which may develop into diabetes, weight gain, central type obesity with "buffalo hump," heavy trunk and thin extremities, fragile thin skin, ecchymosis, striae, weakness, lassitude, sleep disturbances, osteoporosis, muscle wasting, hypertension, "moon-face", acne, increased susceptibility to infection, slow healing, virilization in women, loss of libido, mood changes, increased serum sodium, decreased serum potassium
