Terms in this set (18)
Name the product of aerobic cellular respiration
Carbon dioxide, water, energy
Cells make up what?
Tissues make up what?
Organs make up what?
What recharges ATP during cellular respiration?
Write the formula for photosynthesis.
Carbon dioxide + water + light energy = sugar + water
What would keep photosynthesis from happening?
A lack of carbon dioxide
What do producers, consumers, fungi, and algae all have in common?
They undergo cellular respiration
What are the reactants in Photosynthesis?
Carbon dioxide, water, light
What process occurs in the mitochondria?
Aerobic cellular respiration
What process occurs in plans and algae?
cellular respiration and photosynthesis
Where do the first steps of cellular respiration occur?
Organisms that are capable of making their own energy source are called what?
What is the usable form of energy called?
What is the most common energy source?
Where is chlorophyl located?
Why is the stomach an organ but not organ tissues?
An organ is a group of tissues that work together to accomplish a certain function. The stomach contain muscle tissue, skin tissue, enzyme-secreting tissue, and so forth. An organ system consist of many organs functioning together to accomplish a life process, such as digestion. The stomach is just one organ in the digestive organ system.
describe two ways in which photosynthesis is beneficial to humans.
Photosynthesis produces oxygen as a byproduct; humans breathe this oxygen. Photosynthesis also stores energy in plants, and humans eat those plants or organisms that have eaten the plants. Photosynthesis provide both oxygen and food for humans.
