The Spanish Alphabet (Alfabeto or Abecedario)
There are twenty-seven letters in the Spanish Alphabet as recognized by the Royal Spanish Academy in 2010.
W appears only in words of foreign origin so it has been adopted as part of the official Spanish Alphabet.
Spanish spelling is an exact reflection of the pronunciation of the language. The pronunciation of each letter is subject to precise and consistent rules, and words are pronounced by adding together the sounds of individual letter.
