Dental Laboratory Assistant
Works in a laboratory, may legally perform only tasks specified by the written prescription of the dentist. Receive training through apprenticeship or ADA accredited programs usually 2 years in length. To become a certified dental technician the dental laboratory technician must pass a written exam. (Professional who performs dental laboratory services such as fabricating crowns, bridges, and dentures, as specified by the dentists written prescription. Most frequently trained on the job through apprenticeship.)
