Mode
The number that happens the "most" in a set of data. Line the numbers up in ascending order and determine which one happens the most times. 1, 2, 3, 5, 1, 2, 1, 4, 1 = Ascending order = 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 5 Answer: 1 (because there are four 1's).
...
The "middle" number of a set of data. Line the numbers up in ascending order and determine which one is in the middle of the data. 4, 2, 5, 7, 1 =
Arrange in Ascending = 1, 2, "4", 5, 7. The "middle" one is "4." If there are two "middle" numbers, add them together and divide by 2.
Mean
The "average" of the sum of the data: computed by adding the values in a list and then dividing by the number of values in the list. 3 + 4 + 5 = 12 12 / 3 = "4"
Equivalent
Having the same value. Examples: 1 Dollar = to 100 cents 120 seconds = 2 minutes
Equation

Approximately
to round ; to estimate; or the symbol ~
Range
The difference between the highest value number and the lowest value number in a set of data. Line up the numbers in ascending order and determine which has the greatest and least value, subtract the least from the greatest. 1, 2, "4", 5, 7 = Greatest = 7 Least = 1 ....... 7 - 1 = 6... 6 is correct.
