Cloud Migration
The process of transferring all or more of your storage needs ot the internet.
Public Cloud
Where the computing activities take place outside of a company's or individual's physical computer network.
Private Cloud
A company-based system where resources within the company's physical control are shared in a way that works like a public cloud, but avoids the security issues.
Cloud Apps
Computer programs that run on the Internet for use by a single individual or company.
Cloud Computing
Using off-site Internet-based programs and services instead of those based in your local computer.
Cloud Operating System
A computer operating system that is specially designed to run in a provider's datacenter and be delivered to the user over the Internet or another network.
Cloud Provider
A company that provides cloud-based platform, infrastructure, application, or storage services to other organizations and/or individuals, usually for a fee.
Google Apps
Google's SaaS offering that includes an office productivity suite, email, and document sharing, as well as Gmail, Google Talk for instant messaging, Google Calendar and Google Docs, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Windows Live Services
Microsoft's cloud-based consumer applications, which include Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Calendar, Windows Live Events, Windows Live Skydrive, Windows Live Spaces, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Writer, and Windows Live for Mobile.
