THe HS was sent to lead them to all Truth and Knowledge. THe gifts and fruits of the HS were given to the Apostles on the feast of Pentecost to enable them to lead the Church.
Be able to explain how the HS helps the Church today.
The Hs gives the CHurch life. He makes the diversity of the peoples of the church one , the Hs is the source of our gifts and talents the at we can use to further God's kingdom on earth. The HS teaches and informs us as disciples, guiding the CHurch in her interpretations of God's Word in Sacred scripture and Sacred Tradition. The HS also teaches us to pray.

The Hs can give you the knowledge, Wisdom, the courage, and all other gifts needed to help you make a good decision and follow it through. The Hs can give you help and special comfort in moment of trials and challenges.
Be able to explain what Sacred Tradition is and why it's important.
Sacred Tradition is our religious heritage. It is God's word to the church safeguarded by the Apostles and their successors the bishops, and handed down verbally---in her Creeds, Sacraments, and other teachings---to future generations.

You cannot have faith unless the Hs gives it to you. Without the HS, you cannot have faith and you cannot believe in God.
Be able to explain what terms were used by the biblical writers to explain God's presence at the beginning of creation.
Terms such as "breath" or "spirit of Yahweh" were used to explain the presence of God's Spirit at the beginning of creation
Be able to give an OT example of the HS in the lives of the prophets and judges.
Samson killing a lion with his bare hands, Ezekiel and his vision of the dry bones, and the prophet joel describing the Hs as God's gift to those who act on his behalf.
Be able to explain what St. Paul was trying to teach the Corinthians and what phrase he used to teach them about how to live their lives.
In 1 cor 6:19, st.Paul explains to the corinthians that they must keep themselves pure n mind, body, and soul, as they were temples of the HS.
Be able to define and tell the difference between sanctifying grace and actual grace.
Sanctifying Grace is received through Baptism and is a participation in the life of God. Actual Graces are interventions by God in our daily lives. Like a song gives you the answer.
Be able to give other words that the biblical writers used that had the same meaning as "Spirit."
The word "spirit for the biblical writers could mean breath, life, wind, soul, mind, and power
