RULE: (in English) Explain the word order of time in a Chinese sentence.
sub + time + adv + verb + obj
Like Chinese word order in general, Chinese time words also proceed from the largest to the smallest unit. (That is, from the most general to the most specific).
> e.g. 二零零九年八月十二日星期三晚上七点 = 2009, August, 12th, Wednesday, the evening, 7:00

General time words like "now," "today," "yesterday," etc. are placed BEFORE specific time words like "2006," "Wednesday," "6:30", etc.
(This follows from the grammatical principle of general > specific).

> equivalent to a yes/no question, i.e. "sub + verb/adj + 吗？"
好不好? = good or not (good)?
TRANSLATE: Are you busy today?
MAKE A SENTENCE: 因为
TRANSLATE: Because tomorrow is Gao Wen Zhong's birthday.
MAKE A SENTENCE: 可是
TRANSLATE: I'm English, but I like to eat Chinese food.
MAKE A SENTENCE: 岁

(hái) as a conjunction: also, in addition [adverb]
NOTE: 还 is similar to but different from 也
RULE: (in English) Explain the difference between the adverbs "还" and "也."
> 还 is used generally to talk about the SAME PERSON doing multiple actions
>王朋喜欢吃中国菜，还喜欢吃美国菜。= Wang Peng likes Chinese food, and [he] IN ADDITION likes American food.
> 也 is used generally to talk about DIFFERENT PEOPLE doing the same action
>王朋喜欢吃中国菜，李友也喜欢吃中国菜。= Wang Peng likes Chinese food, Li You ALSO likes Chinese food.
TRANSLATE: Bai Ying Ai is inviting Gao Wen Zhong and Wang Peng, and also Li You.
