Terms in this set (...)

Solid
Definite shape or volume. (The particles are tightly packed together in a solid.)
Liquid
When particles are close together but aren't in 'fixed' positions.
Gases
Have no definite shape or volume, and the particles move fast and don't stay together.
Volume
The amount of space that an object takes up.
Matter
Anything that takes up space.
Evaporation
When liquid changes into a gas when heat is added.
Condensation
During condensation, the air cools and the gas changes into a liquid.
Freezing Point
The temperature at which liquid changes into a solid. (32 Degrees and Below, also the temperature at when water freezes.)
Melting Point
The temperature at which a solid changes into a liquid. (Ex: Ice changing to Water)
Boiling Point
The temperature at which a liquid changes into a gas.
