Agribusiness

Agriculture

The broad industry engaged in the production of plants and animals for food and fiber, the provision of agricultural supplies and services, and the processing, marketing, and distribution of agricultural products.

Agriscience

The application of scientific principles and new technologies to agriculture.

Commodity

Any unprocessed or partially processed good, such as a grain, fruit or vegetable, or precious metal.

Crop

Any product of the soil. In a narrow sense, the product of a harvest obtained by labor, as distinguished from natural production or wild growth.
