During the Renaissance, paintings became more realistic to what the eye sees. There were less religious figures, but the ideal human body was often represented. The style of frescoes used on oil paints on wet plaster created depth, perspective was introduced and used in the south.

The main problem that luther had was the sale of indulgences. He believed that the only way to gain salvation was through work. He also believed that the church was corrupt and not interested enough in spreading the work of god.

He now was at the head of the church and state of England, giving him complete control of England.
