Organism
Any living thing.
Habitat
An environment that provides the things an organism needs to live. (Food/Energy, Water, Shelter)
Biotic Factors
The living or once living things of a habitat (Plants, Animals)
Abiotic Factors
The Nonliving things of a habitat. (Ex: Water, Sunlight, Air, Temperature, Dirt)
Species
A group of organisms with similar physical characteristics, and can produce offspring.
Population
All the members of one species in a particular area.
Community
All the different populations of species in a particular area.
Ecosystem
The community of populations along with all the Abiotic Factors (nonliving things) in a particular area.
Ecology
The study of ecosystems, and how organisms interact within.
