Excretory system
Consists of the urinary system and the sweat glands
Kidneys
Bean-shaped organs that filter the blood and return the clean blood back to the circulatory system.
Ureters
Two tubes that link the kidneys to the bladder.
Bladder
Muscular cavity where urine is stored.
Urethra
Tube which liks the bladder to the exterior.
Pore
Surface opening of the duct of a sweat gland.
Sweat gland
Any of the numerous small, tubular glands that are found nearly everywhere in the skin of humans and that secrete perspiration externally through pores to help regulate body temperature.
Functions of the sweat glands
Filter blood and control body temperature
Urine
Filtered waste substances from the kidneys mixed with water.
