Light Blue - this tube contains anticoagulant sodium citrate. Plasma. - TestCoagulation studies and fibrogen.
Plain Red - No additives or anticoagulant is used. Serum. Test - blood bank and serology
Marble/Tiger Top - Rust with gray specs - Gel thrombin - Serum Test - Chemistry.
Green - sodium heprin, lithium heprin or ammonium heprin - plasma or whole blood. Test - chemestry
Lavender - EDTA - Whole blood. Test - Hematology
Gray - Sodium fluoride, potassium oxalate - plasma or whole blood. Test - Glucose.
