The use of rich, colorful, precise language that communicates not just in a functional way, but in a way that moves and enlightens the reader.
Effective situational style, giving the sense that the author connects with the audience and cares about the message to achieve rhetorical purpose.
sentence fluency
The rhythm and flow of the language, the sound of word patterns; the way writing plays to the ear, not just to the eye.
The mechanical correctness of the piece and includes five elements: spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar/usage, and paragraphing.
Combines textual and other sensory elements, including format; how the composition is exhibited.
