A pervasive pattern of social and interpersonal deficits marked by acute discomfort with, and reduced capacity for, close relationships as well as by cognitive or perceptual distortions and eccentricities of behavior, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 5 (or more) of the following:
ideas of reference (delusions), odd beliefs, unusual perceptual experiences, odd thinking and speech, suspiciousness, constricted affect, behavior is odd, excessive social anxiety, lack of close friends A pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships , self-image and affects, and marked impulsivity, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 5 (or more) of the following:
frantic efforts to avoid real, unstable and intense interpersonal relationships, identity disturbances, impulsivity, recurrent suicidal behavior,instability, chronic emptiness, inappropriate intense anger, transient paranoid ideation. A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 5 (or more) of the following:
grandiose, preoccupied with fantasies of success, "special" needs excessive admiration, sense of entitlement, interpersonally exploitative, lack empathy, envious of others, arrogant A pervasive pattern of social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and hypersensitivity to negative evaluation, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 4 (or more) of the following:
avoids occupational activities, unwilling to get involved, restraint to intimate relationships, preoccupied with being criticized, inhibited in new situations, views self unappealing, unusually reluctant to personal risks A pervasive pattern of preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and mental and interpersonal control, at the expense of flexibility, openness and efficiency, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 4 (or more) of the following:
preoccupied with details, perfectionism, excessive devoted to work, overconscientious, inflexible, unable to discard objects, can't delegate tasks, money seen as hoarded, rigidity and stubbornnes Recurrent unexpected panic attacks- abrupt surge of intense fear or intense discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes and during which time four (or more) of the following:
palpitations, sweating, trembling, SOB, choking, chest pain, N, dizzy, chills or heat, paresthesias, derealization or depersonalization, fear of losing control or dying. A problematic pattern of alcohol use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal A problematic pattern of phencycline use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance- No withdrawal A problematic pattern of opioid use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal A pattern of amphetamine-typer substance, cocaine, or other stimulant use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal A problematic pattern of sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal A problematic pattern of cannabis use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal problematic pattern of tobacco use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance, withdrawal A problematic pattern of hydrocarbon-based inhalant use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by at least 2 of the following, occurring within a 12 month period:
taken in large amount over long period of time, persistent desire or unsuccessful effort to cut down, time spent in activities, craving, failure to fulfill major role, continue use despite problems, give up activities to use, recurrent use in physically hazardous situations, continue use despite problem, tolerance
