What was the Great Snowball Rebellion and what was its importance
Dr. E. D. MacMaster was the president of Miami University, when on the night of January 12, 1848, the students staged the Great Snowball Rebellion in protest against MacMaster's unpopular administration. Barricades of huge snow balls, broken furniture, and other objects were packed in front of the doors of the chapel and recitation rooms of the main building. In response, MacMaster expelled many of the culprits, including the majority of members of Beta Theta Pi and Alpha Delta Phi
