They were both not taking responsibility for their actions and blamed one another. They had to work for themselves and suffer consequences.
WHat was the serpents punishment?
That he is banned from all animals and wild creatures. God would put hatred between the women and the serpent and while Jesus is crushing the serpent, the serpent will be biting at his heel.
What was Adam's punishment?
Can no longer eat from the Garden of Eden. Has to provide a living for him and his wife and grow his own crops.
What was Eve's punishment?
God would intensify her pregnancy and child labor.
Was God trying to get back at them by punishing them like this, or what was the purpose of the punishments?
He was punishing them due to their actions of disobeying him. The purpose of the punishment was to make them suffer the consequences and go through the good and difficult times of life, therefore they can die and be with God when they rise to Heaven.
When do we hear words similar to, "for you are dirt and unto dirt you shall return?"
Why did God forbid man to eat from the tree of life after man sinned?
Did not want them to live forever in suffering.

Before he created the world. ANd because he was jealous that humans were goig to be closer to God than him and the rest of the angels.

The angels were created by God and Lucifer had a lot of anger, hatred, and envy toward Adam and Eve because they would be closer to God than him.
Why did God not create us without free will?
So we can come to him freely with free choice and our actions have meaning.

Our intelects and bodies weakend. Ground is cursed. God feels saddened. Sin personally offends God.
What is original Sin?
WHat everyone is born with, human weakness. Tendancy to sin.
Can the devil ever become good again?
Yes, God forgives everyone.
If Eve is the mother of all living, what is Mary?
All spiritually living. Born again.
Discuss how Genesis depicts sin as unstoppable?
Sin is unstoppable because we all have free will because God gave us and so many people are tempted to do wrong.
Explain what Cain did wrong; why was his sacrifice not acceptable?
Cain did not sacrifice his most precious thing and he did not do it willingly.
Explain what was wrong with Cain's reaction to being corrected by God.
Cain was jealous and killed Abel. Said his punishment was too harsh.
Cain would not accept God's forgiveness. What do you think was going on in his heart as he rejected God's forgiveness?
Evil was building up.

It tells us that he thinks its okay and he will get away with murder.

V. 26 tells us that Seth's sons are all good and that they are the son's of Heaven.
