Judah had to worship Assyrian gods and pay heavy taxes. Poverty, suffering and injustice spread thought Judah. They questioned and doubted God.
He was sent by God to reassure Judah. He was one of Ahaz's advisor. He warned the king that relying on Assyrian would make his people suffer. King Ahaz refused to listen.
He stopped all practices of false gods. He tried to free Judah from the Assyrians twice both times he failed, but he still managed to stop Assyria from completely destroying Judah. He also kept Judah faithful to God.
His message as a prophet was difficult to accept, so people often ignored or rejected his words.

What happened after the king of Judah was disloyal to the king of Babylon?
First, the king of Babylon ruined Judah's crops and pasture lands, he also exiled the royal family to Babylon. Second, he ruined more farmlands and deported more people. Third, he complete wrecked Judah. That was the end of Judah.
He said, "Babylon was an instrument"
Resisted God's calling to be a prophet. He was accused of blasphemy. He begged God to let him leave his vocation. He also advised the people not to resist Babylonian invaders so that the Temple might be saved. They did not listen and the temple was ruined.
