Absorption
Light is taken in by an object.
Reflection
Light bounced back from a surface when its rays approach it.
Refraction
The bending of light as it passes from one material or substance to another.
Photon
A tiny bundle of light energy.
Electromagnetic Spectrum
A range of all light waves of varying wavelengths, including the visible spectrum.
Transparent
allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen.
Translucent
allowing light, but not detailed images, to pass through. Cloudy or blurry.
Opaque
not able to be seen through. Allows little or no light through.
White light
A collection of all of the colors of the spectrum.
Black
All colors of the spectrum are absorbed.

The colors that are being absorbed.
