Treaty of Versaillies
Treaty to end WWI. Main idea- Germany was to blame for the War and had to pay everyone back. Germany was not represented. It ended up being one of the factors that allowed Nazis to gain power and start WWII
League of Nations
Theoretically: a group of nations united together to disarm the world and prevent a global war in the future and keep the peace.
In reality: they had no real power to stop anything due to lack of military so it ended up being pretty useless.
Proposed by Wilson, but America never even joined
A League of nations policy after WWI that gave certain countries the rights to govern territories previously owned by Germany or the Ottoman Empire.
A period between 1929-1941 where many nations economies were destroyed. Stock market crashed, banks failed, etc.
A political theory advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. USSR and CPC mainly. Obscenely high death count, likely over 100 million combined.
