Line
connects two points and extends forever in both directions
Line Segment
Portion of the line and has two endpoints
Ray
It has an endpoint and extends forever in one direction.
Parallel Lines
Two lines in the same plane which will never intersect
Perpendicular Lines
Two lines that meet at a right angle.
Intersecting
lines, rays, line segments or figures meet, or share a common point or points.
Angle
Two rays that share the same endpoint
Vertex
The point where the rays intersect
Acute Angle
angle measuring between 0 and 90 degrees.
Right Angle
angle measuring 90 degrees or two perpendicular rays
Obtuse Angle
Angle measuring greater than 90° but less than 180°.
Complimentary Angles
Angles that adds up to 90 degrees
Supplementary Angles
Angles that adds up to 180 degrees
Vertical Angle
Angles opposite one another at the intersection of two lines.
Reflex Angle
Angles whose measure is >180 degrees and <360 degrees.
Transversal lines
a line that passes through two lines in the same plane at two distinct points.
