are influenced by the people around them. Places that are around Southeast Asia all have common religions, because they are influenced by each other. Same thing for economics and government. Regions are influenced by each other.
What is economics the study of?
the study of how people/society produces, consumes, distributes resources
What are needs vs. wants?
Needs are the resources that people must have to function within society. Everyone needs food, water, and shelter.
Wants are things that you would like to have or something that would make you more comfortable. But you do not need them to survive.
What is government, and what is its purpose?
a system that is usually run by an official, elected or not. The government creates laws to keep the country under control.
What are citizens, and what is their role in society?
A citizen is a native or naturalized member of a state or nation who owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection. Citizens are a part of the government and help create it.
What is a social contract?
An agreement between people of society to abide by laws and accept punishment.

What is a cultural universal?
A value, norm, or other cultural trait that is found in every group
One ruler makes all laws and rules, but their job is to protect the citizens. Ex: Qatar
It is a Political System that allows each and everyone participate, which allows a representative from each state to rule. Ex: United States
One person takes control without being an heir or any vote. That one person makes all of the decisions themselves and usually has enforcers. Ex: Afghanistan
It is a planned economy is often part of the governing class, and in many cases resources are taken and then redistributed to others, at the top of the system. The regions are controlled by a single party; a group of people. Ex: Laos & Vietnam
It is where the Government remains mostly subject to those who govern. It is subject to the people but a leader can be called. Ex: Philippines

Your location of where you live (landforms, resources) changes your culture by especially climate or the way you have to live due to landscapes and certain resources.
What does a country's GDP tell us about their economic state?
The GDP tells how well the country is doing. It tells how the economy is doing, how much people earn, and the value of the final goods and services.
What is the role of government?
To promote the general welfare
What are the major components of religion? Give an example of each from one of the religions that we studied this year
The major components of religion are origins, foundational beliefs, rituals/practices, major texts, sacred sites, views of life and death, and gender roles. Hindu people believe in the three Gods.
