Why do all freely falling objects fall with the same acceleration?
Because the net force on an object is only its weight, and the ratio of weight to mass is the same for all objects.
What does the air resistance force an object experiences depend on?
The object's speed and area.
What is terminal speed?
The speed at which the acceleration of a falling object is zero because friction balances the weight.
What is terminal velocity?
Terminal speed together with the direction of motion.
What do unbalanced forces on an object cause?
They cause the object to accelerate.
What are the three main equations?
1. a = F/m
2. F = ma
3. m = F/a
What is the equation for pressure?
P = F/A
What is the terminal speed downward with a parachute?
Between 15 to 25 km/h.
