As a result farm Africa project has provided poor families with goats and training in how to care for them.

The goat is sold at 30 pounds and money is effectively returned when families uses the goats resources.

Milk is readily available there are no compromises. Goat milk and meat are produce, and they are excellent food source.

Goats tend to overgraze and this can lead to desertification as grassland and crops are lost.
Goats require grazing land, water and veterinary care and , this is in short supply.
Also if owners cannot provide treatment, the goats become ill or die and process stops .
Number of Hoover animals have increased from 300 m to 650 m in 40years but, expects have found out that ,poverty has not decreased.
Young goats are sold to other families helps the whole community.
Birth of new kids and the process continues and ,Goat farming knowledge is passed on.
In drought goats have higher survival rate than cows or sheep.
People can move away from subsistence lifestyle.

It is not sustainable as ,crops are the current ways that families ,can earn more money, if that is lost ,they have to sell the goats and , that eliminates the point of Goat aid.
