The fascist dictators were able to gain power in the 1920's and 1930's as they were giving speeches which inspired and urged people to elect them. The dictators promised that they are going to fulfill their peoples' wishes when they come to power.
How did the Treaty of Versailles lead to WWII?
As Germany got punished because for what it did. As west of their rights were taken away. Germany could not bare this. In this way, WWII was on the board to happen.

Germany had to give up their colonies. Some of their lands were reduced. They were not supposed to have an army or navy. They had to pay for reparations.
