Reducing or Simplifying Fractions
Making the terms of the fraction smaller, but keeping the value the same.
The numerator is equal to or greater than the denominator.
A line marked with numbers at evenly spaced intervals.
Least Common Denominator (LCD)
The smallest denominator that two or more fractions have in common.
Least Common Multiple (LCM)
The smallest multiple (other than zero) that two or more numbers have in common.
Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
The largest factor that two or more numbers have in common. This is used to reduce fractions.
