rising action
characters deal with conflicts and try to solve them
climax
the most intense, exciting, or important point of something; major conflict is resolved
falling action
Events after the climax, bringing the characters back to a new normal
Conclusion/Resolution/Denouement
the final part in which the strands are drawn together matters are explained or resolved, story wraps up and the readers job is done.
