Woodrow Wilson
He hoped to restore free competition among corporations. Program was called the New Freedom he had congress create the FTC in 1914.
FTC
created 1914 and it had the power to investigate companies and order them to stop using unfair practices to destroy competitors
Clayton Anti Trust Act
1914, Wilson signed this and the new law banned some businesses practices that limited competition and stopped antitrust laws from being used against unions.
Federal Reserve Act
1913, Congress passed this and it set up a system of federal banks and gave the government the power to raise or lower interest rates and control the money supply
