The average mass of all isotopes of a specific element. No because you cannot have half of a proton.
What is average atomic mass? Is it possible for a decimal value?
It increases because you are adding a whole other energy level each time, making the atom bigger.
How does the size or the atom change as you move down a group?
It decreases because as you go right, you are adding more protons in the nucleus which causes the attraction to increase within, which pulls in the electrons, shrinking the atom.
How does the size of an atom change when moving right in a period ?
It is smaller
How does the size of a caption compare to the size of the corresponding atom?
It is larger
How does the size of an anion compare to the size of the corresponding atom?
It would be larger because it has more electrons which pulls the atom outwards.
