- Algernon has to solve a test every time he gets food and this makes Charlie feel bad for him
-Charlie decided Algernon isn't a bad mouse and that he will become friends with him
-Miss Kinnian is reading Robinson Crusoe with Charlie; this is an allusion- Charlie is Marooned in his thoughts like Robinson Crusoe is marooned on an island
-She thinks he is learning fast
- She looks at Charlies progress reports and warns him about bad people (referring to Joe Carp)
-Charlie tells her about his "friends" and she gets emotional and

-He misuses comma's at first
- He makes a lot of mistakes at first but then he got better
-He looked at his old progress reports with amazement and wanted to correct them but Miss Kinnian told him to keep it to show how much better he has gotten. This made him feel good.
- Charlie doesn't race with Algernon anymore
- Charlie felt sick inside when he realized that his "friends" were really making fun of him and were mean; he went to another party with Joe and Frank and they told him to dance with Ellen and they were the only ones dancing and they kept on tripping him and they made a fool out of him. And he was blushing (shows emotions)

- Charlie skipped work again and told Miss Flynn he was sick and she was worried

- Charlie figured out a way to line the machines in the factory which saves Mr. Donnegan, the owner 10,000 dollars in labor and increased production (Charlie is really smart) and he gave Charlie a 25 dollar bonus (HUGE RIPOFF)
- Charlie asked Joe and Frank to come have a celebratory lunch but they had other things to do
- everyone at work is "'frightened" by Charlie
-People aren't talking to Charlie at work as much which made him feel lonely
-Charlie asked Miss Kinnian to have dinner with him to celebrate his bonus
- Dr Nemur and Dr Strauss argued about who was responsible for Charlie's experiment
-Burt said that Dr Nemur's wife's dream is to have a big shot husband
- Charlie has a crush on Miss Kinnian; he thinks she's beautiful and smart

-Charlie thinks about his parents; they were inconstant and mean and didn't keep there promises
-Charlie puts flowers on Algernon's grave every week
- Miss Kinnian came to visit him but Charlie refused to let her in
- Charlie was broke needed a job so he went back back to work being a janitor
-A person made fun of him and Joe and Frank stood up for him which made Charlie feel a little better
- July 28 ending - Charlie's spelling and punctuation is really bad
-Everyone feels bad for Charlie so he is moving to NY
-Charlie decides that he is going to keep on trying to get smart
-Charlie says good bye to Miss Kinnian (in his progress report) and to everyone else
-he hopes he will have more friends in NY
-he says that if any body reads this that they should put flowers on Algernon's grave in the back yard
