Relate in your own words the Oedipus story.
Oedipus was born with a curse that one day he would kill his father and marry his mother. At birth, he was sent away in order to protect his parents and ended up being raised by the king and queen of Corinth, who he thought we his real parents. He ran away from Corinth to avoid the curse, and he ended up killing Laois, his biological father and marrying his biological mother. He later finds out the curse has come true and asks to be banished to die alone.
