EZ: Endocrine Sx/Pituitary Gland/Fundamentals/Intro. Beginners. CA LVN NCLEX.

This is an intro (or review) to the Pituitary ('Hypophysis') gland (the Anterior and the Posterior Pituitary gland) and it's hormones. The Anterior Pituitary: Growth Hormone ('Somatotropin'), TSH, ACTH, Prolactin, FSH, LH. Posterior Pituitary: ADH, Oxytocin. The Posterior Pituitary stores things. 'Pituitary Gland'. Defintion:
Known as the 'Master Gland'. Located in the brain and is the size of a pea. Produces hormones that regulate growth, development of the reproductive structures, and the function of the reproductive organs throughout ones life span.
