government in which power is held by one central authority

government in which power is divided between one central and several local governments
Confederation
government in whichvoluntary associations of indpendent states (local governments) that agree certain limitations and cooperation
Autocracy
government in which one person possesses unlimited power and the citezen has little if any role in government
Oligarchy
Government by which few people, a small group or political party which exercises control, citizen has limited power or control
Democracy
government in which the supreme power is vested in people and usually involves elected officials
Presidential Democracy
a government in which the president is constitutionally independent of the legislature
Parlimentary Democracy
government in which having the real executive power in members of the legislature, may have Prime Minister elected by legislature
