What is the difference between being transfigured, translated, and resurrected?
Transfiguration is a temporary change in appearance and nature so mortals can endure the presence of heavenly beings.
Translation is when the body is raised to a terrestial state. The translated being is still mortal, but won't experience pain or death until their resurrection to immortality.
Resurrection is the reuniting of the spirit and body with the physical body of flesh and bones after death. The being is now immortal, and the spirit and body will never be separated again.

A correspondent watched as one mortally wounded young soldier picked another mortally wounded soldier out of the water. The first young man commanded the second in the name of Christ and by the power of the priesthood to remain alive until he could get medical help.
