Natural Resource
A God made material found on earth that can be used by people.
Nonrenewable Resource
A natural resource that can't be replaced at all or it will take thousands of years to be replaced once it has been used up.
Renewable Resource
Natural resource that can be replaced or can replace or renew itself.
Evaporation
The process which liquid water changes to water vapor.
Condensation
Process which water vapor turns back into liquid water.
Precipitation
Water that falls to the earth. rain, snow, sleet, hail.
Fossil Fuel
NON RENEWAL RESOURCE. These products are formed from the remains of ancient plants and animals. Oil, natural gas, coal.
Pollution
Adding of harmful materials to the air, water, and soil. Burning fossil fuels releases this.
Humus
A Material made up of decayed plant and animal matter. Rich soil contains this product.
Soil Profile
A cross section of soil that shows the different layers in soil.
Topsoil
The upper layer of soil that contains minerals and humus.
Pollutant
A material that causes pollution.
Conservation
The preserving and wise use of natural resources.
Biodegradable
A product that breaks down easily in the environment. Paper products, tissues, brown paper bags are examples of this.
