What is SAP xApps? and what are all the components of SAP xApps?
SAP xApps enable business improvement and innovation through cross functional, end-to-end process that work across heterogeneous systems.SAP xApps runs on open mySAP Technology platform.
What is a Data base layer, Application layer, Presentation layer?
SAP R3 - R signifies Real time system whereas 3 represents the three tier architecture.
Data base Layer - contains all database of R3 system. The data base has two components DBMS and database itself.
Application Layer - Application server consist of one or more servers along with a communication server.
Presentation Layer - It contains the software components which makes up SAP GUI. This layer is the interface between the users and R3 systems.
What is a landscape?
I SAP R3 landscape is like layout of servers or architecture of servers. It consist Development Server,Quality Server and Production Server.
Development server - customization done as per company requirement by the consultants.
Quality Server- Where core team members and other members do the testing.
Production Server- Where the end user record the live data.
Why do we call client 000 as golden client?
All configuration data and master data is is contained in client 000.The configuration setting is done in Golden Client and then moved to other clients. Since it acts like a master data hence known as Golden Client.
What is a Client in SAP?
Client is top level hierarchy in SAP. Org Structure is created at client level.All company code comes under Client. Types of Client Development,Quality and Production Client. All document type,posting keys etc., are defined at Client level so that it is accessible to all company code created under the cleint.
What is an authorization?
In SAP Authorization concept protects transactions,programs and services from unauthorized access.
What is a Spool request?
A spool request contains which data need to be printed and how this data need to printed.
Copy client from one system to another system since the new client doesn't have repository object and cross client data.
Explain ASAP (Accelerated SAP)
It is the purpose to implement SAP in most efficient manner.Goal of ASAP methodology is to effectively optimize time,people , quality and other resources.It consist five phased road map for implementation namely 1) Project Preparation 2) Business Blueprint 3) Realization 4) Final Preparation and 5) Go-Live and Support.
What is Business Blueprint?
Pertinent information about the company where SAP Implementation take place.BBP document explains about the future business processes and requirements.
What is Realization
In realization phase - baseline configuration is done by the SAP consulting team and the implementation project team fine tunes the system
What is the IMG ( Implementation Guide)
Lists all action required for implementing SAP and helps to document and control the implementation.
Data archiving means consistent removal of data objects from database tables of SAP database.
