PLAY
ALIGN
To line up objects using the top, bottom, center, left, or right edges
BACKGROUND
Area behind text or objects
BALANCE
When the page is not dominated by either text or graphics; or when the page is not not dominated by one half or the other
CLIP ART
Electronic artwork available on the computer
CLIPBOARD
Temporary holding area that stores information for future use
CROP
Conceals or cuts out parts of an image you don't want shown
GROUP
When multiple objects are combined into one easily manipulated object
OBJECT
Anything you place on a desktop publishing document (text box, clip art, shape, etc.)
TEXT BOX
Object in which you can type
TEXT OVERFLOW
Words that do not fit in a text box
UNGROUP
Turns a single object into multiple objects
UNITY
When elements on a page complement each other or make sense together
ZOOM
Makes the page scale larger or smaller so you can move in or away from page objects
