Definition of Rural?
The growth has occurred in cities rather than rural areas because cities have more to offer, such as food, water, money, jobs and it is normally more sanitary. It also has better opportunities.
Why has most of the worlds population growth occurred in cities rather than rural areas?
They occur in developing countries such as India Because of all the goods begin imported and exported meaning it is making more resources that rural areas.
Why does urban drift happen in developing countries such as India?
They grow mainly due to births and immigration and decline due to deaths and emigration.
How do the population of cities grow and decline?
The number of births is a lot greater versus the number of deaths meaning the worlds population is increasing.
Are the rate of births greater or lower than deaths? What does this mean for the worlds population?
Dramatic changes that begun in North America and Europe, as the discovers of new lands and industrial revolution caused people to move from rural areas to new regions and major cities- urban areas.
What is the first wave of population change?
deaths rates have fallen dramatically since 1950. the effects of these changes have been dramatic as the rate of population increase has been great. the change is most obvious in the figures for average life expectancy.
What was the second wave of population change?
It started population trends in Europe and North America by getting better health facilities such as immunisation. Therefore people are living longer.
