Schizoid= A loner with little interest or involvement in close relationships, even those with family members-->Unaffected by emotions (detached/cold) *one negative symptom of schizophrenia)
Paranoid= Mistrusts and misinterprets others motives and actions without sufficient cause, suspecting them of deceiving, harmful, betraying, or attacking him/her.
Schizotypal= Has several traits that cause problems interpersonally, including limited or inappropriate affect; magical or paranoid thinking; and odd beliefs, speech, behavior, appearance, and perceptions. (Characterized by some pos. symptoms of schizophrenia)
Associated with irrational, withdrawn, cold, and suspicious behaviors
Antisocial= History of serious behavior problems beginning in teen years, including significant aggression. (more common in men)
borderline= Suffer from recurring or enduring instability of his/her impulse control, mood, and image of self and others; Impulsive and reckless behavior, extreme mood swings, reactivity, anger, etc. (more common in women) -->more intense than bipolar disorder
histrionic=Desires to be center of attention, and often seeks to attract that attention through personal appearance or in a seductive manner. (Emotions are dramatic, but often shallow and shifting. Often believe relationships are more intimate than they are)
narcissistic= Feekls grandiosely self important, with fantasies of beauty, brilliance, and power. Feels desperate for admiration; Lacks empathy for others and may exploit others, feel entitled, arrogant, and haughty.
