Rising Action

The events and complications that lead up to the climax as the character tries to solve the problem. Tension increases!


The turning point of the story where the outcome is decided one way or another. This is the most intense part of a story. Tension is at its peak!

Falling Action

The result of the climax. The conflict begins to be settled. Tension decreases.


The conflict is solved. Loose ends are tied up. The story comes to a close.
